From Garden to Vase - The Joy of Fresh Cut Flowers from the Garden
2010 began with the snow event which was referred to as "Snowmageddon". The garden lay sleeping under 3' of snow from late December through February. By this time, my mother had become bedridden and we agreed that it was time to sell the house. As a result, I spent most of my time caring for Mom and packing, very little time gardening. However, it was more important than ever to give my mother flowers, which I tried to do almost every week.
Camus----In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.
